Why won’t the Camera Raw 4.6 plug-in work on my Photoshop CS3?
I followed the directions on the Adobe site. I installed it into the plug-ins folder under “File Formats”. When I try to open a RAW image, it still says, “Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document”. I am very frustrated over this! I tried moving it to everY Plug-in folder and restarting it all but it just won’t work. The plug-in download has been unzipped. I even went to “Preferences” then clicked “Plug-ins” and checked the box for “additional plug-ins folder”. But it’s not coming up there either. Where am I going wrong? The site said 4.6 is compatible with windows, my camera, and CS3. PLEASE HELP!!!
I have a Nikon D3000 which is under the listed compatible cameras.
I just tried 4.4.1 plug in and it didn’t work either 
What camera model are you using? It may only be supported in a later version of ACR. v4.6 is the last version available for CS3.
