Best Camera Under 200.00

Needing to know best camera for my needs~?

I am a proud mother of 2 adventurous boys ages 3 and 16 months and was wondering which camera to purchase next. I currently own 2 Kodak Easyshares and 1 Samsung which, I feel have not led up to my expectations. I want a camera that is light-weight,durable,fast shutter speed,and one with great picture quality. Preferably one that could take some amateur photographs of nature,people,etc.Price isn’t really a problem just husband is tired of my spending on cameras so one under $200.00 would be nice.Any suggestions would be appreciate…Thanks~

Unfortunately, you are going to go from one $200 camera to another since most cameras in that range do not have aperture or shutter priority options and all suffer from shutter lag.

The only camera type that measure shutter lag in milliseconds instead of full seconds, are the DSLR type cameras. The smallest cannot be put in your pocket or purse unless you have one the size of a backpack. Yes they are durable, have fast shutter speeds (1/4000th second) and are capable of producing great picture quality … however that is really up to the skills of the photographer. DSLR’s are certainly considered a good camera for amateurs who want to shoot nature and people, since they can use lenses from fish-eye to extreme telephoto.

The camera that has the most bang for the buck can be found here … $450 for the camera and 18-55 mm lens, one that will give you great opportunities to shoot landscapes, group shots and portraits … for another $100, you can get an additional lens, the 55-200 mm which will give you a better reach when shooting your boys, charging around and for shooting wildlife.
