What is the best Verizon Wireless smartphone?
I am looking to get a Verizon smartphone.
I know I want it t run android and be able to run emulators and apps as quickly as possible.
I don’t really care about the camera, and I’ve never tried the swipe keyboard, so I’d like to hear if that’s worth giving up a real keyboard for.
Right now, I’m looking at:
Samsung Fascinate
Droid X
Droid Incredible
Droid 2
Please let me know unless it’s really worth it to wait for the iphone to come to verizon.
These are all great phones. I have used them all and know people who carry them all, and honestly they all love their phones. The only exception is that quite a few people who get the Droid 2 report that they never use the keyboard. I would agree that it’s really unnecessary with an Android phone, so if you are looking to eliminate one, eliminate the Droid 2.
Get the DROID X if you are comfortable carrying around something that huge, and the big screen experience is really important to you for gaming or watching movies on the go. The drawback: Very weak battery life compared to the smaller phones.
For a more normal-sized phone, between the Fascinate and the Incredible, it’s a really tough call. If you love the HTC Sense user interface (and a lot of peopl do), then stick with the Incredible. If you again like multimedia on your phone, then the Fascinate gives you the bigger, brighter screen and DLNA capability.
The good news is that it’s the perfect moment to be shopping for one of these phones.
