How to download images to a camera using a Mac and iPhoto?
I've been trying to download these photos on a memory chip of a camera for so long and i do not get it. Can anyone help?
This is what you do: 1. Turn on the camera. [It depends on your camera. Some may need to be in the process of shutting down. Do what you want to connect to download images from camera to Mac]. 2. Connect your camera to your Mac via USB. 3. The memory chip the camera will be on the desktop as an external drive. [A white drive icon color similar to that shown in http://castinet.castilleja.org/public/technology/support/security/images/mounted_disk_image.png] 4. Double-click the drive icon and open the Finder as if browsing a normal folder. Copy images to it and go. Note: If your intention is to move pictures between your friends via the camera that can copy the images anywhere. On the other hand, if you want your camera to recognize the images and displayed on the LCD screen, you must copy the standard location. It is usually necessary to find a folder named "DCIM" on the mounted disk. Search images taken from the camera in this folder. Copy your pictures from your Mac in this folder. If images are copied long names may have changed the format of images made by the camera. File names can have up to 8 characters with the extension that has 3 characters. Usually this will format DSC_xxxx.jpg where xxxx is a counter ranging from 0001 ~ 9999. (DCIM stands for digital camera images). If you want to do the same from iPhoto to follow the same procedure. You can use the "Export" feature in iPhoto to copy images. This export "Save" dialog select the folder on the mounted disk.
