Ubuntu won’t recognize my camera/mic?
I have Ubuntu running on my Toshiba Satellite A305. It has the built in webcam/mic but i have no idea how to access it. I dont think the OS is even recognizing it. I opened the application where you make movies and it didnt recognize my webcam Is there drivers i need and if so how and where do i install them i barely put Ubuntu on this system two days ago so please help me..I was able to find the application that records your voice and i got nothing..so i know for sure its not recognizing the mic
Go to the support section of Toshiba’s website and see if they have a linux version of the drivers you need. If they don’t, then I recommend you post this question on Ubuntu’s help forums: all the people there are extremely helpful an most of them have been using Ubuntu a long time and know it inside and out.
