Memory Card Error msg… 4 gig SD card – using canon powershot sx100 IS?
I tried to retrieve pics via laptop, but it didn’t acknowledge I even put card in it. Deciding to wait until I got home to mess around with it, I put card back into my camera, and thats when I got the message of mem card error. Once home, tried again, and finally downloaded 2 progs. to try and fix prob. to my surprise, It retrieved LAST YEARS pics. but was not able to retrieve any new pics. (sad, sad) I excepted the fact that they were history, and tried reformatting card, 1st from camera, but still got the error. Next I put into my PC and said it was “write Protected” HUH? now what ? I need to either get the rec ent pics, or to at least reformat card.
