Kidney Stone Laser Surgery – Recovery time?
I recently had laser surgery to remove a kidney stone. Everything was done with a camera/laser inserted up through my bladder into the ureter. The surgery went well and I actually felt great afterwards.
I had the stent removed yesterday which I was really nervous about. But after 2 1/2 viocodin I didn’t feel much. I was hoping to ween myself of of the viocodin but my back hurts too much. I am assuming the uerter is still healing from stone and stent.
Has anyone had laser surgery to remove a kidney. How long was it before you felt no back pain?
I have had 6 laser surgeries since last may. (I have had chronic kidney stones since i was 16- now 27) I also had a stint for 4 months. I never had any back pain. if its in your spine, go to the emergency room. if it’s in your side, like where your kidney is, call your ureologist. it shouldn’t last more than 2-3 days.
