What are the best settings for my digital camera?
I have a Vivitar 8225.
I use it outside in sunlight.
And inside in sunlight and florescent light.
If their are different settings for these in particular please specify.
I’ve searched for it everywhere but no answers.
I need the whole deal.
ISO.
White balance.
Scene.
Exposure.
Sharpness.
Anti Shake.

Face Detect – I’m taking photos of objects, not people. So right now, this is off.
Image size – I’d really like high definition. Right now it’s at; 3648 x 2048 HD
I don’t own a vivitar camera, but I am fairly skilled in photography. Here goes.
I take it you want the camera to do the work when you set up a picture – i.e. you don’t want to change ISO , shutter speed, aperture manually for each shot.
Set the ISO to auto. If there is no auto, follow this basic rule: the higher the ISO, the higher the sensitivity to light, and the higher the grain level (yes, this does apply to digital, though not quite as much).
White balance: Set it to Daylight for outside, Fluorescent for inside. Obviously you can change this, if you remember, though, via your camera’s menu.
Scene: don’t worry about it – set it to auto or whatever default.
Exposure: Set it on auto, unless you want to change it for every shot manually.
Sharpness: set it on auto or auto-high. The way to get really clear photos is to use a tripod or set your camera on something steady.
Anti-shake: by all means turn it on! Just don’t leave it on when you’re photographing fast moving objects.
Face detect: turn off for now, turn on for portraits and stuff.
Image size: set it to the highest possible.
