Orson Welles directed a film in first person – what was it?
At some point in his career, Orson Welles (director of Citizen Kane) directed a movie where the main character of the camera. The secondary characters spoke directly to the camera. The head turned and looked along the scenic up and down the slope. What was the name of the movie? This sounds like a trivia question but it is not – I need to know!
At first I thought it was F for Fake. However, after reading all your questions, I do not think it is. I can not remember any Welles film taken with the camera as a character, but I have seen one or two in recent years, including the lady of the lake, with Robert Montgomery (and camera) playing Philip Marlowe.
