In a rental car (Budget) & ran a red light in Dallas, TX and saw a camera flash. Will I get ticket?
What I really mean to ask (if I had more space) was should I just assume that the Budget rental car company will notify me of a ticket and then I’ll have to pay THEM? Or will the car company send the Texas govt. my info and THEY will bill me..? I hear it’s $75-$100, yikes. I was near the Gloria’s Restaurant on Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75206-5311. I am a bit anxious about it, so any info/concrete information about my situation would be very much appreciated. Many thanks and all the best.
The car is registered to Budget so they will get the ticket. Then they’ll check the records to see who rented it on that date and send you the ticket. It wouldn’t hurt to give them a heads up, but it isn’t necessary. Start saving your money because by the time you actually get the ticket there may not be much time left till it’s due. Not a good way to start the new year
