Camera Repair Price question?
I left my digital camera recently and took it to a store called House Doctor to be estimated. It is a Canon SD 630 PS. The camera is still working on going on, but the lens is folded and will not retract. Nothing about it seems to be broken. I have a budget of U.S. $ 168. I was told that the aim should be replaced. Is this reasonable or should shop around, and if so, what other channels I can repair the camera try? It is difficult to find a location yahoo, when I have a name. I live in Houston, TX. I think the camera was about $ 400 (I received as a gift, so I'm not sure) that 42% of the value of the camera lens seems a bit expensive for me.
You should always get a second estimate. Check the original price of the camera too. Most likely it will be very expensive to repair the camera. It seems that today the repair of electronics not a very cost effective option.
