Camera Settings for Indoor Sports (HOCKEY)?
Hi, everyone!
I am very new to photography.
I am going to see my Toronto Maple Leafs this weekend for a charity “Skills Competition”.
I have a Nikon D100 with a 55-200mm VR lens. I would like to get some good shots, as I will be pretty close up!
What should I get my camera to (ISO, etc)?
Any other suggestions?

You will have to use your light meter to determine how much light there is on the ice.
There are NO camera “best” settings for any photograph. The cameras light meter is there to help you decide.
Set the white balance for the lighting (usually incandescent in sports venues), the ISO as high as you can. Try some shots using HI-1 and HI-2 so you can determine which will provide you with the best shutter speed, high ISO noise combination. Then shoot using your camera in the aperture priority mode
