Idunn, the camera is worth a little under $ 500 and much of things that are "throwing" in the OEM box with the camera. I'm not exactly sure how you are adding a "hot shoe", as buit the shoe is on the camera body. However, the remote switch, 50-200mm, extra battery, battery grip and combined it would LowePro bag Worth the extra $ 300. In any case, I'd highly recommend handling a similar camera before buying this.
