I need help in buying an additional lens for my DSLR. I need to know how important these things, and USM IS?
I'm thinking of buying one additional lens for my canon. My Canon EOS 1000D (Rebel XS / Kiss F). Only I have the kit lens 18-55mm, so I'm thinking of buying the 70-200mm .. I realized that There are 3 types of it .. One has USM and IS is the most expensive among the 3 .. The second has USM, but there .. ES and the third, which is the cheapest is the one that does not have USM and is all .. Honestly, all I can afford that has USM .. because the 70-200mm USM and IS which is really beyond my budget .. So my question is okay to have this 70-200mm lens and not IS USM .. I understand that if for the image stabilizer .. Is it really so important? Help .. I need your advice .. It depends on the type of shot you want to do, I'll be honest and say that it is the a lens is not terribly important. I have a couple of lenses for several dozen cameras in my collection, and only one with IS. If taken in good light, then, is not necessary. If you're shooting short focal lengths, then, is not necessary. Basically, photographers have done very well without it for a long time. When buying a lens should be considered (above all, in my opinion) from opening. The two objectives of this collection are f / 4 and 2.8. The 2.8 is a faster lens is better low light is also more expensive and much heavier. The f / 4 is still fast, but if I was doing interior shots (eg a basketball game) then it is not so good 2.8.
