I need help better understand exposure.?
Okay, so ready the book "Understanding Exposure", which was great and taught me much about the opening Shutterspeed, and ISO, which is what I am wanting to learn, or so I thought. But when I left my camera and started to play with everything I learned, I confs again, first tried out pictures of my dog, put the iso in 200, and in M adjusted to a 5.6 f stop and changed shutter speed until the exposure meter was set to zero, right? Now, when I took the picture is the way open, so why What is all this math add up right, I have changed several times openings and fits my shutter speed to counter what I said as indicated in letter from the exposure through the viewfinder and was increasingly exposed to images? Should I have measured something else? What am I doing wrong? Every time I try M mode and adjust aperture and shutter at what my meter tells me that are too dark? In general, the default measurement is the entire scene, a kind of evaluation measurement. This is really a good learning experience. What could have been a backlit situation.
