Canon Sowershot SD1300 lens is jammed?
My Canon Powershot SD1300IS lens is jammed, as in it’s slightly protruding. I dropped it by mistake and it got jammed (I assume). I’d show you a photo of it so you could see what I mean… but I don’t have a camera now!
Is there anywhere I could perhaps get this fixed? Or a DIY way to fix it? I’m in Los Angeles if there are any stores in the area I could get it fixed in.
there IS a DIY way, but #1, it’s only a temporary fix, and #2 it’s very sensitive: what you’d have to to is slam (yes, i meant slam) the bottom of the camera perfectly flat on a smooth hard surface with the perfect amount of force. the slightest angle and/or too much force will ruin the camera. like i said before, it is only a temporary fix. your best off getting a new camera. it will cost you $200-$500 to get that camera repaired correctly. there ARE A TON of place that’ll probably do it for A LOT less, but there’s no guarantee with those guys. ANYONE can say “GUARANTEED” but that doesn’t necessarily mean they’re actually giving you a SINCERE guarantee.
