Should I buy the Ef 50mm f/1.8 lens and the ES-62 Lens hood ?
First off should I buy this one

I was just wondering because the prices are different so which one would be better.

Should I get the Canon lens hood ?
is it worth the money?
or should I get the generic cheaper ones?
The 50MM F1.8 is worth its weight in gold (quality-wise). However, make sure the one you buy is USA Made as the Import version is a bit cheaper but has no warranty coverage in the US. This lens is the only one I have used with no UV filter or even the lenshood and I’ve had mine for at least 5 years and bought mine for $80. Keep in mind that this version is not the USM so the focusing is a bit slow and the auto focus is a bit noisy (USM is about $400)
