my old canon digital camera 2001 model LCD just went black. I opened it and for a few seconds it went black.?
I have an old canon digital camera 2001 model and its LCD just went black. when i click the shot button, the flash is good but it wont capture images. I can still see the images saved in the memory card but the one that has been shot with its LCD black is just black..
i am wondering if dg cams has its limit of how many shots are allowed. if there is, then i guess my camera just reach it’s limit..
i am sure that all the settings are in good mode. and i tried everything. also, there is a button there to change the mode to LCD or if you want to look at the little hole to see what you want to capture. i press it and nothing happens.
is it broken already? what shoud i do?
What you have is a faulty CCD module issue. I faced the same with my Powershot A70.
there is NO limit to the number of shots allowed.
Please contact the local Canon service centre and ask them to replace the faulty CCD module.

And remember, you do NOT need to pay labour charges etc for getting the faulty CCD module changed. The CCD module does not wear out with time. It can go bad only if it has a manufacturing defect. So dont hesitate to face off an unfriendly canon service engineer.
