Questions for Tmobile G1 users?
I have a few questions for those of you who already had the phone, seeing how the youtube reviews go on & on about the camera which I couldn’t care less about:
1) Does the phone charge throught a USB like the Sidekick LX and if not does it have a USB slot so I can drag music and photos onto it?
2) How long does the battery last with normal usage throughtout the day?
3) Does the AIM feature support full AIM not just 30 buddies or anything like that.
4) Is there a video somewhere where I can see AIM running and is there a fee for the app or however its setup to use AIM?
5) Can it play video from other sites besides youtube?
6) How do you find the keyboard compared to that of the Sidekick LX?
7) Is the web browser much faster then the Sidekick LX?
Would you recommend this phone over the Sidekick LX?

Well, I don’t use the phone myself, but I work for T-Mobile so I can answer most of your questions.
1) Yes, it has a USB charger and also comes with a USB cord.
2) The listed talk time for the battery is up to 5 hours.
3) Yes, it supports full-blown AIM
4) Not sure about a video, but stop by a T-Mobile retail store and they’ll let you play around with it. The fee for IM is included with the data feature you’ll need in order to use the phone.
5) Yes, it will play other videos on other websites, as will all other T-Mobile phones shortly.
6) I’ve not used a Sidekick to compare it, but the keyboard on the G1 is great!
7) Waaaaaay faster – 3G fast! Also if you’re on wi-fi it’s much faster. EDGE will be about the same.
Are you kidding? Of course! It’s even better than the iPhone!
