How do you take a picture of an object up close and have it come out clearly?
I know each specific way to change the settings of a camera is different.
I’m still learning about how ISO and all that work and how to tweak it accordingly to get the results desired.
Right now I am trying to figure out how people can get shots of objects up close and have the main subject come out very clearly and everything else be blurred or not clear. Also things that are VERY close to the camera that can be shot and come out very clearly. I just want to know if there is a specific setting for this and if it has a term used to define it.
You are thinking of Macro Photography. If you have a Point and Shoot, You need to turn the ‘Macro’ Setting on. Most cameras will have this setting as a little flower icon. However if you have a DSLR, you need a Macro Lens.
Keep in mind that point and shoot camera will only focus in macro until a certain extent, so you will find out how close the camera can focus. Also, look in the camera manual, it should have a Settings section which will describe the macro setting.
