Underwater camera case.?
I’m going to go snorkelling and i want to take photos of the fish. I have a normal digital camera but not a special case. I’m just wondering if it’s ok to just use a zip lock bag…
A single zip lock bag is not likely to be leak proof enough for complete immersion. Two or three might be. However, while that would maybe give adequate protection for transport, you won’t get a decent picture through it. An underwater housing that specifically fits your camera model is best. If there isn’t any, there are some general purpose ones that are sort of like super-duper zip-lock bags with a glass optical port to give a decently clear picture. Two vendors that I know of that carry this kind of thing are adorama.com and bhphoto.com. Search their sites for underwater housing.
