Can you use the digital display instead of the view finder on the Canon 450D digital SLR camera?
My parents have recently bought the Canon 450D digital SLR camera, rather than figuring it out for themselves they’ve asked me to work it out. I have one simple question, Can I use the digital diplay instead of the view finder to take a photo or not? I’ve looked through the menus, tried to find the instruction manual in the house as well as online (which canon do not have on their main website, or its very well hidden) All i can seem to do is use the view finder, i just want someone to tell me if i can use the lcd display and how to do it. The display is only showing what settings I have for the type of picture i want to take. Somebody please help its driving me mad!!!
If you want to use this camera like a little point and shoot, then Live View is there for you as mentioned. But think about it–can you hold something that isn’t so light about a foot away from you and expect it not to move and by doing so, causes blurry photos?
