WHICH TO BUY!? NIKON D90 OR CANON T1i?!?
I have always personally been more fond of Canon and have told myself that my first DSLR would be just that, a Canon. But recently while researching the Rebel T1i (500D), I stumbled upon the Nikon D90. Now based on reviews, the Nikon may be better in comparison, but is more expensive in not just the camera, but it’s lenses as well. I have handled both Nikons and Canons and am really now just torn between the two. Should I go for the cheaper, but comparable Canon with the more affordable lenses, or the more expensive and possibly higher performance Nikon D90? Your help really is appreciated.

P.S. Also I believe the Canon uses a pentamirror, and not a pentaprism like the Nikon (correct me if I am wrong). What is the significant difference between the two?
The D90 is the better camera, and that is why it is more expensive, but I am not sure what lenses you are looking at. Like for like, Nikon lenses are often cheaper that Canon lenses. The pentaprism viewfinder on the D90 means you will have a larger view when looking through the viewfinder, making it easier on the eye to frame your shot. If you are serious about your photography I would go for the D90. It has extras like the ability to wirelessly control flashes. The Canon can’t do that. (In fact many Canons can’t do that). As your photography skills grow, the D90 will be able to keep pace with you longer than that T1i.
