for people who know alot about webcams, computer hardware etc..?

okay so i bought a gigaware pc vga camera from radioshack. i lost the cd. i installed the drivers from the radioshack website. but when i plug in the camera and it says new hardware found it does not seem to work when i click the driver the new hardware found thing tells me it cannot be completed, i tried almost everything. what am i doing wrong? the SOUND WORKS ONLY the mic part but no picture. should i unplug it and do it again or what? i dont know 
please somebody help , it would be really important to me since its the only way of talking to my sister because i cant use the phone because they are long distance and i cant see them not even for christmas and they would be so happy if i got this working
for the second guy. i dont have the time nor money to go back to the store and it wouldnt matter if i got the CD anyway because the place were you put the CD is broken. so why dont you help me? thats why i came on here..to ask for help..
Uninstall any software you installed, then go to the gigaware website and download the software and drivers from there, then install again. Don’t plug the cam in until the software is installed.
