Should I buy a used Canon D1s or Eos Rebel Ti new?
Should I buy a used Canon Ds1 Mark II for $1000 of a new Canon EOS Rebel T1i for $650? The used one was $8000 new, but is seven years old (trust the seller-family). It s a better camera, professional better quality..Has the lower/mid model caught up so I could get it with a kit lens on sale for $650 and it be as good (plus be able to shoot HD video? Any guidance appreciated, thanks. I’m a total beginner so any thoughts would help, mainly vacation pics, nature shots, learning to do photography usage planned.
I forgot to mention that the Canon Reel retails at $800 with lens, I found it on sale for $650. The Ds1 retails new for $4000, used for $2000 and was $8000 when purchase new 7 years ago. So do I buy a $1000 camera and get a $300 lens or do I get a camera and lens for $650. The D1 is 16.7 MP, the Rebel is 15.1, but that is the lesser of my concerns as I won’t be lowing things up beyond 17×11.

Buying a Canon 1D as a total beginner is like handing the keys to a Koenigsegg sports car to someone who’s just got a driver’s license. The rebel is like a volkswagen jetta, get that instead.
