what is cheapest way to purchase a blackbird camera stabilizer from New Zealand into New Zealand?
I am using a 5d mk2 and have decided to purchase the blackbird camera stabilizer. the steadicam merlin is available from a number of retailers but I have not been able to find anyone who sells the Blackbird. I can buy the Blackbird fro B&H but will have to pay more than $100 US for the postage.
Also I am unsure if there will be any other additional taxes I will have to pay.
If anyone has any information on this topic I would really be grateful.

The best way to do it is contact the various local camera shops and see if any can order one in for you. The downside is that they will mark up the price (and it may include the same $100 shipping you are trying to avoid). B&H should be able to tell you if there will be any additional dutys/fees/etc.
That is the problem with using a “unique” product, it has to be special ordered. I needed an item and had a local shop give me a quote on it. After shipping and tax was added (and a 3-4 week wait ETA), it came to $20 more than if I ordered it myself (and I had it in 10 days).
