I’m looking at macro lenses for my nikon on national camera exchange..wondering which is better?

these are the two lenses I’m comparing, and although they both look like they have some great advantages, I don’t know if I’d pay for the more expensive one if it works just as well as the cheaper one.
I don’t know much about lenses and I only have the one my camera came with, and basically would just like some input from any pros out there before I purchase one. =]
The 60 mm f/2.8 is the standard macro lens, used for copying documents and other flat field items. It can also be used as a portrait lens.
The 105 mm f/2.8 VR is the lens you would want if you spent a lot of time photographing animals, especially if the can bite you. It places the camera/photographer further away from the subject. Since all macro photography is usually shot using a tripod, the VR is not necessary
