canon 5d mark ii and 7d?
need help advise before i make my mistake.
I always wanted a Canon 5d M2 for a while now, but i never had the chance and budget to do that. I recently just purchase a Canon 7d two day ago with the lens kit 28-135mm, + 1 year insurance total $2,105.38 I like it alot because of the new focus system and a little bit newer technology built in.
Just today a friend just told me he gonna sell his canon 5d mark2 with total nearly 7-8k actuation shot. He selling for $2000 just the body only.
I know it the camera i being waiting for. I know the image quality is far more superior than the canon 7d, but the 7d has way superior focus system…
I mainly shoot anything, from landscape to kid play to anything. I’m thinking of returning my 7d and get the mark 2.
What your advise…..

also another thing, all my shot will be print in 8×11 size. Will not be larger than that. Will this be necessary to get the 5km2?
I’d keep the 7D. Keep in mind that even though the 5D has the technically superior image sensor, you won’t be able to make the most out of it unless you have a very expensive set of lenses as well. And even then, the difference compared to 8X11 size is negligible.
The same basically applies to the 7D. If the 28-135mm is the only lens you currently own, you have yet to experience what the camera is capable of. If you have another $2000 to spend, then something like the Canon 85mm f/1.2 will be a great buy if you like to do portraits or anything related to creamy bokeh.
If you like to shoot sports, then something like the Canon 70-200mm f/4 or f/2.8 will do a far better job than your current lens.
