What kind of filter should I use in my lens for the shots of the beach?
I have a Nikon D5000 digital SLR camera lens with a standard 18 55. My wife and I are going on holiday with his large family and I have been appointed to take family photos of everyone on the beach. Right now I just have a basic UV filter I use, but there is another filter to be used for photos as a polarization filter or something else? What about an umbrella? Please help! I'm nervous about these I will take photos. They were going to hire a professional, but I have a digital SLR, they think I'm a professional now! Please help!
Why do people think that professional DSLR =? Anyway, I would use a lens hood, and a circular polarizer is a good idea too. If it is cloudy, however, omit the polarizer for the day, your main objective is to reduce glare.
