Why wont my laptop windows xp detect my camera nikon d40?
Why wont my laptop windows xp detect my camera nikon d40 when i plug it in with my usb cable? it wont read anything even when its plugged out, my card reader doesnt work so thats not a solution, i only have one laptop, it used to work before without using card reader, pls help, i need to upload those pics tonight! i have an assignment due tomrrow, and all the stores are closed, pls pls help me

The auto-play has been shut off. This sometimes happens when an XP computer is updated. Just turn that feature back on or use you computer skills and your file manager to copy the files from you cameras memory card to your computer.
