what is the best telephoto lens to buy for my Olympus Evolt 410 digital slr camera?
It depends on your intentions and the amount of change in your pocket.
For starters, the Olympus Digital Zuiko 50-200mm f/2.8-3.5 is an excellent lens ideal for most situations. Fast, good reach, sharp. The SWD version can be found for ~$899. The non-SWD version is a bit hard to find now new-in-box but if you can save a bit of money that way if you can manage to find one.
For people on a budget, the best choice would probably be the Olympus Digital Zuiko 70-300mm f/4-5.6. It’s slow, shooting in low light will be difficult. Same goes with the 40-150mm kit lens which is a good, light, and affordable lens as well.
