Would you rather a rechargeable camera or have it run on batteries?
With a rechargeable camera if you run out of battery you have to use a powerpoint to charge it up but with a camera that runs on batteries you can just keep some extras in your pocket and replace them but its more costly
My biggest problem with regular batteries is that you end up with a MUCH larger camera!!
But concept-wise, I really like the idea. You can both A) buy rechargeable regular batteries, so you aren’t really missing out on that benefit (of ease and cost) and B) as you said easily carry extra and you can always pick up a battery somewhere in an emergency.
If you go with rechargeable camera battery, it might be worth investing in a second battery (you could give an inexpensive 3rd party one from eBay a shot – most of the time they work fine) for piece of mind, if nothing else.
