photo printing help?
I had a client who wanted some photos done so I used my Canon Rebel XTi to take them. My Canon is set to the highest resolution possible. I had the photos printed at Walgreens, but when I got them they looked grainy. So I thought I’d go to Ritz Camera because my brother had his wedding photos printed there, but they said the photos were too small. I enlarged them to 8500 x 4500, but they still said the resolution was too small. I called Canon because I checked 3 times and my camera is set to the highest resolution, but they said they didn’t know what to do. What’s wrong? I’m not cropping them in any way. I’m trying to print 4 x 6′s. The original file size is 1300 x 1640 & I swear I’m not looking at thumbnails.
my ISO was 400
What ISO were you using? Higher ISO’s often have a lot of grain.
With my XTi, I try not to use anything over 400.
