how do i upload pictures from my camera to my computer ?
i have windows xp .& with my old camera which was an Olympus i used to just plug it into he computer using a usb cord & a page would open and i could upload the pictures . but now with my new samsung camera when i plug it in with the usb cord nothing happens & i cant upload the pictures . & i cant stick the memory card in the computer because i dont have a slot for it. help pleasee !
If your computer has memory card slots, find the correct slot and move pictures from the memory card to the computer.
If there are no memory card slots on your computer, purchase a Targus card reader at Walmart for $8.88 or another brand for less at Ritz/Wolf/Kit camera. Also, they do 4 x 6 digital prints for 5ยข each on Tuesday and Wednesday.
CAUTION To prevent memory card corruption, keep batteries charged and don’t delete photos. Wait for lights to stop flashing then turn camera off before removing memory. For card readers, double click Safely Remove Hardware. Then click Stop and OK.
After you have the memory card plugged in, go to My Computer and open the memory card, select the picture you want to move, and then copy to the My Pictures folder under My Documents under Documents and Settings. You may only be able to copy one picture at a time.
If you have trouble with this, it may be easier to right click on Start and then left click Explore. Find and select the picture you want to copy and then at the top left, click the X next to Folders to see a place to select Copy Files. Select the My Picture folder then make and select a sub folder then click Copy. You can copy pictures easier with this method.
