taking pictures at night with my Canon AT-1 SLR?
i’m trying to get used to taking pictures at night but am finding it difficult. i’ve had my camera for a few years now but am starting to use it more and more i take great pictures during the day and want to start with some night shots. any tips like estimating exposure periods ISO settings and such would be greatly appreciated. thanks!
I recently starting doing night shots with my film SLR as well. When I shoot at night I use 100 speed ISO always with a tripod. If you are shooting something like stars or very dimly lit sky you will need longer bulb settings 1-1 1/2 hours with the aperture as open as it goes. If you’re shooting cars or lit up urban shoots maybe only 10-30 seconds.
