What are your thoughts on the following DSLR?
Canon Digital Rebel XT, Nikon D70, Nikon D50, Nikon D70s?
I have previous SLR experience–I’ve taken several classes in photography at college and would like to switch to digital for the time being. I am looking to spend less than $1000 if possible. Anyone have experience with any of these cameras? What are your thoughts and complaints?
I think you have a great shortlist of cameras there. All are capable of delivering great image quality. I would add a Pentax DL to your short-list for two reasons: price (which will allow you to spend more of your budget on lenses) and ergonomics. The viewfinder is great, and the size and shape are unique compared to other SLRs on your shortlist. You may find that you prefer the way the others fit/feel in your hand, but you should try out the Pentax if you get a chance.
