Will Windows 7 improve my computing experience? Please see below.?
I’m moderately-skilled XP-user. I use my computer for the regular things: researching via the Net, email, MS Office for my job and for personal stuff, watch streaming video on TV network web sites, digital camera, Sony Reader, watch DVD & Blu-Ray movies and sometimes play those on-line games that come with Windows. And hanging around at Yahoo Answers.
I have enough computer for 64-bit Windows 7 and I’m not afraid if doing the clean install and then restoring my files and programs. But then what? How will my computing experience be better?
I’ve seen the Ads and read everything I can. I don’t know anyone personally who has it.
I’d really appreciate it if someone here would give me an unbiased opinion in this. OK, biased is just fine too, Thanks in advance.
I listed things like the Sony Reader to illustrate the things I use with my computer and to show that I am not a “gamer” or a “power-user”.
Windows XP is excellent, even though its 8 years old now. However, you cannot argue with the outstanding visualisations and ease of use of Windows 7. If you’ve got a powerful computer Windows 7 will outperform XP in some, not all, areas. This is obvious because XP doesn’t have the complex visualisations that 7 does, but it really is worth upgrading to Windows 7 because new programs and updates will be designed for 7.
I would (and have) upgraded to Windows 7 on both my PC and laptop and do not regret it one ounce.
