Will a video camera bought in the US work in Australia?
I’m not so worried about charging the battery, but whether there is still a PAL/NTSC difference.
The charger is not a problem most will work with either power only he plug may need changing.
NTSC/PAL a computer will not worry about it to the computer its only Data, recording will obviously be on the camera. When it comes to putting it on the computer just treat it as normal, but when you come to render it (change the video format for its final format, (to go on DVD or whatever) just tell the software that you want the video in NTSC or PAL. if you want to play the video directly from the camera, most TV’s will be able to cope with either format.
I have a NTSC camera and I am in Europe never had a problem, same format as Australia.
