I saw a care taker hit a disabled boy at walmart yesterday. is it too late to report it?
i rounded the corner into a isolated seating area near the public bathroom. a mentally disabled kid maybe 10 yrs old was sitting on the bench. a woman was speaking to him in a harsh tone although i couldn’t make out what she said. the kid got up and walked toward her and she suddenly punched him in the shoulder. hard! it knocked him back a step or two.
i was so shocked i didn’t know what to do. nobody else was around and she didn’t realise i was right behind her when she did hit him.
i don’t think he was able to speak or had very limited communication skills and now i regret not doing something.
should i just let it go?
maybe if i call the police they can ask that walmart store to review it’s security video. there’s bound to be a camera nearby because this isolated area is also near the employee break room.
I wish I thought differently, but I think it is too late. For anything to happen you would have had to report it immediately and they would have to have been detained.
